Marlin GTX uses the Business Planner to manage workshop bookings.
The Business Planner usually opens automatically when GTX starts.
If it does not open automatically, it can be accessed by selecting Main > Enquiries > Business Planner from the menu bar.

When opened, the Business Planner will show either the Task List or the Resource Planner, depending on system configuration.

Different booking types are shown using colour coding to indicate their status as enquiries, bookings, quotes, work orders or completed invoices.
Additional planner views and tools can be accessed using the tabs at the top of the planner window.
These tabs provide access to features such as searching bookings, viewing unassigned work orders and reviewing daily or monthly workloads.

The behaviour and default settings of the Business Planner can be adjusted using the Options button.
See the Business Planner help guide.

Work Orders
Work orders represent confirmed customer jobs with products reserved for them.
They are highlighted in yellow in the Task List and Resource Planner.
They can be created by converting an existing booking or quote.

New work orders can also be added directly from the Business Planner using the Quick Work Order button on the right and assigned at a later date.

Work orders cannot be added directly to the Resource Planner and must be created from a booking.
When a booking or quote is converted or added, the Enter Work Order window will open to allow job details and products to be added using the Line Details list at the bottom.

Unassigned Work Orders
If enabled, unassigned work orders added outside the Business Planner or using the Quick Work Order function appear in the Unassigned Work Orders list.

Unassigned work orders can be opened and assigned to a booking by selecting a date, time and resource.

See the Planner Work Orders help guide.
Invoicing Planner Orders
Bookings, quotes and work orders can be invoiced by opening them in the Task List or Resource Planner and clicking Invoice.
