Select the Leave Entry screen and enter on the relevant employee.
Click on the arrow head (to the right of the green '+') and a drop down menu will appear.
Adjustment Leave entries are processed on Adjustment Pays and have two purposes:
- To enable an employee to be paid out for some leave rather than take it as time off (i.e. cash-in some leave). This ensures that it doesn't impact the employee's normal work hours and normal pay. Please see Cashing-Out Leave.
- To correct something in a previous pay.
Example
- You paid an employee for some leave but then he worked for part or all of that leave period;
- You paid an employee for work hours but were later advised that he had some time off during that pay period (eg. sick days or annual leave days);
- You paid an employee for some annual leave but he later produced doctor's certificate(s) showing that he was sick during the leave period.
Please see Pay Run Corrections for step by step guidance on how to process these situations.
