Maintainers

Prev Next

Marlin GTX uses Maintainers to control who can edit each of the fields within a module.

There are three types of Maintainers:

  • System Maintained: Automatically maintained by GTX and can only be edited by Megabus for example Average Cost or Quantity on Hand.
  • Locally Maintained: Can be updated by users with edit permissions.
  • Non-Locally Maintained: Managed by authorised external systems for example head office.
Note

Fields with a key symbol next to them cannot be edited.

Relevant modules will contain a Maintainers tab showing the maintainers for the different fields.

Maintainers Tabs

The Maintainers tabs in maintenance and other files show who is responsible for maintaining the fields within the relevant module.

Non-Locally Maintained fields usually also show who is responsible for maintaining them.

Note

You might need to click on the right navigator arrow to reveal the maintainers tab if the amount of tabs overflows your display.

Tip

The checkboxes at the top of the Maintainers tab can be used to hide and show the different maintainer types.
