Customer Order Attachments

Article summary

Marlin Tyre and Mechanical Workshop Software enables attachments to be added to customer orders.

The Firebase integration partner must be configured and enabled before attachments can be added to customer orders. To enable the Firebase integration partner, please contact the Megabus Support Team.

Adding Attachments to Customer Orders

Daily Activity > Customer Orders > Search

To add an attachment to a customer order, first open it in Edit mode from the Customer Orders Search list (which can be accessed by selecting Daily Activity > Customer Orders from the menu bar).

At the top of the module window, click on the Attachments tab.

The Attachments tab contains a list of all the attachments attached to a customer order.

To add an attachment, click on the Add action button to the top-right of the Attachments list.

If the Add button is not visible, please contact the Megabus Support Team.

The Add Attachment pop-up window will open, containing a form for adding attachments to the customer order.

Use the Attachment Type picker to select the type of attachment that is being added to the order.

A description for the attachment can be entered in the Description textbox below.

To the right of the File Path textbox, click the Browse button to select the attachment to upload.

The Publish checkbox is related to a future roadmap feature that has not been implemented yet and can be ignored.

Once the file has been selected, click the Save button at the bottom-left of the pop-up window to add the attachment and return to the Attachments tab.

Viewing Attachments

Daily Activity > Customer Orders > Search > [Customer Order] > Attachments

To view an uploaded attachment, double-click on it in the Attachments list.

The View Attachment pop-up window will open containing a preview, if possible, of the attachment.

At the bottom of the View Attachment pop-up window, click the Open button to open the attachment in a separate window.

Deactivating Attachments

Daily Activity > Customer Orders > Search

Uploaded attachments cannot be deleted, but they can be made inactive.

To deactivate an attachment, double-click on it in the Attachments list.

The View Attachment pop-up window will open.

At the bottom of the View Attachment pop-up window, click the Edit button.

To deactivate the attachment, untick the Active checkbox, in the centre of the View Attachment window (below the Description textbox).

At the bottom of the View Attachment pop-up window, click the lowermost Save button.

Deactivated attachments can be viewed and re-enabled by setting the Attachment list filter to All.

Note

A Customer's attachments can also be viewed in the Attachments tab of their Customer and Vehicle Master File.
