Marlin GTX enables you to retrieve vehicle history either at point of sale or in detail from AutoTracker Enquiry.
When you need information about the work your shop has previously performed on vehicles, you can retrieve that history at point of sale and from AutoTracker Enquiry.
Retrieving Vehicle History at Point of Sale
Basic vehicle history is readily available when you perform an enquiry, schedule an appointment, or start a work order from the Business Planner.
To retrieve vehicle history at point of sale:
- On the Business Planner's Task List tab, do one of the following
- Double-click an empty row to start a new enquiry, booking, or work order
- Double-click the row for an existing enquiry, booking, or work order
- For new activity, look up the vehicle and owner
- Otherwise, disregard this step
- Click the Our History tab
- The date of each previous visit is listed, along with the odometer reading and a list of products and services sold at that time
- If you need more detail about previous visits, look up the vehicle in AutoTracker Enquiry
Retrieving Vehicle History from AutoTracker Enquiry
Detailed vehicle history is available in AutoTracker Enquiry.
This module includes details for each transaction affecting the vehicle, along with documents attached to the vehicle and inspection results.
When you need to produce duplicate invoices for prior activity, you can print or email them from here.
To retrieve vehicle history from AutoTracker Enquiry:
- Select Main > Enquiries > AutoTracker
- The AutoTracker Enquiry screen opens
- Type the owner's name, registration plate, number or year, make, or model and make sure corresponding check box is selected
- Click Search
- Marlin GTX retrieves vehicles matching the search criteria
- Double-click the vehicle whose history you want to view
- Basic information about the vehicle is at the top of the screen and the history is on the lower section
- Make sure the Transactions tab is selected
- Select the row for the invoice you want to look at
- Do the following as needed
To see the invoice's header line details:
- Click the invoice details icon
- To close the invoice details screen, click the icon again
For a duplicate of the invoice:
- Click the duplicate invoice icon
- Select one or more document delivery methods and deliver the document
- For a list of items sold on the invoice, make sure the Lines tab (right side of the screen) is selected
- For information about a specific item on the invoice, select it on the Lines tab then click the line detail icon
To close the line detail screen:
- Click the icon again
- For additional information about the selected invoice, click the Payment Info, Follow-Up Reminders, Additional Sale Info and Attachments tabs (right side of the screen)
- For other types of history affecting the vehicle, click the Deposits, Attachments, Open Orders and Bookings tabs
- To close the AutoTracker Enquiry screen, click the Close icon
