Marlin GTX enables a single staff profile to be used across sales, workshop and time and attendance functions.

From GTX 5.7.1 onward, separate salesperson and technician records are replaced with combined staff profiles.

This change supports Time & Attendance functionality and simplifies staff management.

Individual staff members can therefore be enabled as a salespeople, technicians or both.

Staff profiles can viewed and edited by selecting Main > Staff > Manage Staff from the menu bar.

Adding Staff Members

To add a new staff member:

  • Click Add at the top of the Staff Maintenance module
  • Enter the required information on the Staff Details tab.
  • Click {{Save}}

Enabling Staff as Salespeople

To enable staff members as salespeople:

  • Open the staff profile in Edit mode
  • Select the Salesperson Details tab
  • Enter the required information
  • Tick Active as Salesperson Role

Enabling Staff as Technicians

To enable staff members as technicians:

  • Open the staff profile in Edit mode
  • Select the Technician Details tab.
  • Enter the required information
  • Tick Active as Technician Role
