Marlin GTX enables staff attendance to be recorded and managed using the same staff profiles used for sales and workshop activities.
Staff profiles can be linked to schedules, resources and explicit availability to support planning and availability management.
Recording Attendance
Staff members can clock on and off using the Attendance Entry module, which can be accessed accessed by selecting Main > Staff > Attendance Entry from the menu bar.

**The Attendance Entry window displays a list of staff members and their current attendance status.

Current attendance indicated using coloured icons:
Clocked on
Clocked off
On break
Staff members can clock on, clock off and start or end breaks by selecting their name in the list and clicking on the relevant action button:
- Clock on is used to record the start of a working period.
- Clock off is used to record the end of a working period.
- Start Break and End Break are used to record unpaid break periods during a shift.
If staff passwords are enabled, each attendance action will require password validation before it is recorded.
Attendance Entry can be accessed quickly by adding it to the Favourites toolbar.

Staff Attendance
Staff attendance records can be viewed by opening a staff profile and selecting the Staff Attendance tab at the top of the module window.

Attendance records can be viewed and edited in the same way as when using the Attendance Maintenance module.
Time and attendance associations can be managed from within staff profiles.

Resources
Only staff enabled as technicians are associated with resources.
Assigned technician availability appears in the Resource Planner.

To associate staff with resources:
- Open the staff profile in Edit mode
- Select the Resources tab
- Click Add
- Select the required resource from the list

Schedules
Schedules define expected working patterns for staff.
To associate staff with schedules:
- Open the staff profile in Edit mode
- Select the Schedules tab
- Click Add
- Set the effective date
- Select the required schedule
- Click Ok

Explicit Availability
Explicit availability records define leave, absences and special conditions.
To associate staff with explicit availability:
- Open the staff profile in Edit mode
- Select the Explicit Availability tab
- Click Add
- Select the required explicit availability record
