Attendance expectations and availabilities are based on schedules, which can be added using the new Schedules module.

Salespeople and technicians can then be associated with Resources, Schedules and Explicit Availabilities, as required, using the new Staff list.

Once staff members have been associated with the appropriate schedules they can record their attendance, including clocking on, clocking off and taking breaks, using the Attendance Entry module.

Attendance records can then be viewed using the Attendance Activity Report.

Attendance records can also be viewed and edited by users with the appropriate permissions, using the new Attendance Maintenance module.

All of these modules are covered in more detail in their individual Inform guides, which can be accessed by clicking on the links in the menu on the left (or the Contents men at the top on mobile).

    Tip

Staff attendance can be recorded across all terminals on a network, or a single, dedicated attendance terminal can be set up, which staff can use to clock in and out on entering and exiting the workplace.

    Note

Salespeople Passwords are required for Time and Attendance functionality. If you do not have Salespeople Passwords enabled, please contact the Megabus Support Team.

    Time and Attendance Permissions

Who can clock on/off staff members can be controlled by setting appropriate password group permissions, which can be accessed by selecting System > Passwords > Password Groups from the menu bar.

Edit the relevant login groups and adjust their permissions accordingly.

    Tip

Click in the Category list and press Ctrl+F on the keyboard to quickly search for the relevant permissions.

The Attendance Entry permission allows users to clock-on/off/break their own time entries:

    • 0 - No access,
    • 1 - Access to clock on.

The Attendance Maintenance permission allows users to add, modify clock-on/off entries for other staff:

    • 0 - No access,
    • 1 - Full access to clock anyone on/off and add entries for all staff (intended for managers).

The Attendance Activity Report permission allows users to run reports for staff activity and payroll:

    • 0 - No access,
    • 1 - Access.
