Marlin GTX enables manual or automatic calculation of product reorder levels, with options to adjust, save or discard proposed values.
There is a system switch that enables this functionality.
If your screens do not match those shown below, please contact Megabus for assistance.
Product Reorder Level Maintenance
From the menu toolbar, select Main > Products > Manage Products.
Then select the Reorder Maintenance option from the drop down menu.
As well as reorder and quantity related information, the top section also displays the average monthly units sold.
The bottom section of the screen displays the unit sales for each of the last 6 months for the highlighted product.
Safety Stock allows you to enter a quantity that will override the Reorder Level.
You would use this if you wish to always have a certain quantity of a product on hand, regardless of the sales history.
By default, the average is calculated over the last 6 months.
You can use the Change Months icon (or press F2) to toggle between 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 months.
You can also use the Filter icon to display only a particular range of products.
Setting Reorder Levels Manually
Arrow down to the relevant product, then press the Tab key.
You can then enter your desired Reorder Level, Reorder Quantity and Safety Stock figures.
Setting Reorder Levels Automatically
Click on the Mode icon to change from Manual Mode to Calculation Mode.
Enter the number of months you want the average monthly units sold figure to be calculated.
Enter the number of average months worth of stock you want the Reorder Level to be set to.
After clicking on the Calculate button, the system will calculate the new Reorder Levels.
The calculated Reorder Levels are displayed in a temporary Proposed Level column so that you can view and edit the results before deciding to accept them.
If required, arrow down to products and press Tab to edit the Proposed Level and Safety Stock figures.
Click on the Finalise icon to save the Proposed Level figures as the new Reorder Level figures, or click on the Change Mode icon to discard them.
