Marlin GTX enables multiple types of passwords to control access to functions and security in Marlin GTX.

Password Types

Login Password

Used to start Marlin GTX (different passwords may be used by Manager, Franchisee, Bookkeeper, Sales people).

Cash Drawer Password

Used to open the cash drawer.

GST Close Password

Used to close a GST period once BAS is completed.

Megalink Password

Used to start Megalink on the Master PC or Server so that electronic transactions and reporting information may be sent and received.

Salesperson Password

If this feature is activated in the system, each salesperson will have to enter their own unique password each time they finalise a transaction.

These passwords are provided during initial configuration of your system by Megabus.

Changing Passwords

Login Password

Select System > Passwords > Password Groups from the menu toolbar.
Double-click on your login (eg. Accounts, Sales).
Click on the Change To Edit Mode icon then click on the Change Password button.
Enter a new password twice and save.

Cash Drawer Password

Select System > Passwords > Cash Drawer Password from the menu toolbar.
Enter a new password twice and save.

GST Close Password

Select System > Passwords > GST Close Password from the menu toolbar.
Enter a new password twice and save.

Megalink Password

Please contact Megabus for assistance in changing your Megalink password.

Salesperson Password

Select System > Passwords > Salesperson Passwords from the menu toolbar.
Double-click on your name and enter your current password then a new password twice and save.

If a message pops up advising that you have insufficient access to change a password you will need to get someone with a higher access level (eg. Owner, Manager) to log in to Marlin GTX and allow you to change the password.

Forgotten Passwords

If you forget your password, you will need to get someone with a sufficiently high access level (eg. Owner, Manager) to log in to Marlin GTX and enter a new password for you using the change password process above.
