Marlin GTX uses multiple password types to control access to different functions.
Login Group Passwords
Used to log in to GTX (e.g different passwords used by Manager, Franchisee, Bookkeeper, Sales people).

Changing Login Passwords

To change login group passwords:
- Select System > Passwords > Password Groups from the menu bar
- Open the relevant password group in Edit mode
- Click on the Change Password button
- Enter the new password twice
- Click Save


Salesperson Passwords
If activated in your system, each salesperson will have to enter their own unique password each time they finalise a transaction or change other settings.
Salesperson passwords are provided during initial configuration of your system by Megabus.

To change salesperson passwords:
- Select System > Passwords > Salesperson Passwords from the menu bar
- Double-click on your name
- Enter your current password
- Then enter your new password twice
- Click Save

If a message pops up advising that you have insufficient access to change a password you will need to get someone with a higher access level (eg. Owner, Manager) to log into GTX and allow you to change the password using their account.
Megalink Passwords
Megalink passwords are used to start Megalink on the master PC or server, so that electronic transactions and reporting information may be sent and received.
Changing Megalink Passwords

Cash Drawer Passwords
Cash drawer passwords are used to open cash drawers.
Changing Cash Drawer Passwords

To change cash drawer passwords:
- Select System > Passwords > Cash Drawer Password from the menu bar
- Enter the new password twice
- Click Save

GST Close Passwords
GST close passwords are used to close GST periods once the relevant BAS is completed.

To change GST Close Passwords:
- Select System > Passwords > GST Close Passwords from the menu bar
- Enter the new password twice
- Click Save

Forgotten Passwords
If you forget your password, you will need to get someone with a sufficiently high access level (eg. Owner, Manager) to log in and change your password using the processes above.
