Marlin GTX enables barcode scanning of products directly into Packages in multiple entry screens with flexible overwrite behaviour.

Previously, when barcode scanning a product into a Package (in Invoice Entry, Purchase Entry, Purchase Order Entry, Consignment Stock Out Entry) it was being inserted outside of the package.

This meant you had to manually select the product code within the Package.

In release 3.4.1 an Overwrite checkbox has been added for greater flexibility and is controlled by the F11 key.

Scanning Products into Packages

In Invoice Entry

When focus is in a Package frame:

  • If the checkbox is ticked, the current package sale line's Product Code becomes the Product Code returned by the barcode scan
  • If the checkbox is not ticked, the Product Code returned by the barcode scan is appended to the invoice lines

When focus is on a normal sale line:

  • If the checkbox is ticked, the current sale line's Product Code becomes the Product Code returned by the barcode scan
  • If the checkbox is not ticked, the Product Code returned by the barcode scan is appended to the invoice lines

In Purchase Entry, Purchase Order Entry, or Consignment Stock Out Entry

When focus is on a normal entry line:

  • If the checkbox is ticked, the current entry line's Product Code becomes the Product Code returned by the barcode scan
  • If the checkbox is not ticked, the Product Code returned by the barcode scan is appended to the entry lines
