Marlin Tyre and Mechanical Workshop Software enables users to design customised job cards to be used for specific customer groups.
If required, custom job cards can be created to suit specific purposes, and assigned to customers using reporting categories, enabling different job cards to be printed for different job types.
This is primarily intended for situations where the default job card is not suitable, such as truck servicing and specific fleet work.
This is a chargeable extra, for more information, please contact the Megabus Support Team.
Associating Customers with Job Card Categories
The set up and mapping of all job card categories and groups will be handled by Megabus, although you will still need to associate them with the appropriate customers.
Once enabled, a Job Card Template category will be added to the Reporting Categories list at the top-right of each Customer Master File Details tab.
To assign a custom job card to a customer:
- Select the required Reporting Group for the Job Card Template category
- If no reporting group is selected, the customer will use the default job card
Customers can be quickly assigned to different reporting categories from within customer orders, by clicking on the Edit button to the right of the Customer picker at the top-left of the order's Select Customer tab. Once saved, the order will then print the relevant job card.
There will usually only be a single job card template reporting group available, but multiple groups can be set up, if necessary.
Users with the View Document Template Overrides permission enabled can view individual Reporting Group Job Card mappings by selecting System > Document Template Overrides from the menu bar. To change the mappings, please contact the Megabus Support Team.
Once a customer has been associated with a Job Card Template Reporting Group, printing a job card from one of the customer's orders will print the relevant job card.
Reporting Categories can be made mandatory for new customers by opening the relevant category from the Reporting Categories module (System > Reporting Categories) and ticking the Required checkbox.
Job Card Template Categories
The Reporting Category associated with the customised job cards will usually be called Job Card Template and will be shown next to the new Report.JobcardTemplateOverrides enterprise setting.
If necessary, the value for this setting can be removed to disable the reporting group job cards and have all customers simply use the system default.
