Marlin HR enables accurate processing of termination payments by ensuring all outstanding earnings and allowances are correctly recorded.
These should be entered in the Pay Advice window of the employee's termination pay run, and include all:
- All Unpaid Earnings and Allowances
- Redundancy or Employee Termination Payments (ETP)
- Payments in Lieu of Notice
These payments must be entered correctly to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
Double-check that all required Allowance Types are added before initializing a termination pay run. Click Refresh (top-right) to ensure you have the latest allowance types provided by Megabus.

Payments in Lieu of Notice
If an employee is terminated without the required notice, you need to use the Payment In Lieu of Notice allowance type, rather then enter additional standard hours.
This ensures that the payment is correctly reported to the ATO and prevents the employee accruing additional leave on any incorrectly entered hours.
See the Terminations in Lieu of Notice Inform Guide for further information.
