You may have noticed a new security warning when you connect to your hosted system using Remote Desktop.
Do not worry, your Megabus Hosted System remains secure.
The warning is the result of a Windows security update released on 15 April 2026.
We are currently working on a permanent solution that will remove the pop up entirely and will notify you once it has been implemented.
What You Need to Do
If you use local printers or USB devices:
- Make sure the relevant options are ticked:
- Ports: If you use any USB devices or serial devices with your hosted system
- Printers: If you need to print from your hosted system to your local printer
- Clipboard: If you copy and past VIN numbers or other data into your MHS system
Once you have checked the relevant boxes:
- Click Connect to continue as normal
Note
If you don't use local printers or USB devices: You can click Connect straight away without ticking anything.
