# Trade Portal Salespeople

**Marlin GTX** salespeople need to be configured with web access, in order to use [trade portals](/gtx/docs/trade-portals).

Portal access and passwords can be configured using the **Salesperson Details** tab of a user's [Staff Maintenance](/gtx/docs/staff) file.

Note

**Technicians cannot access trade portals**, only salespeople.

## Salesperson Access

Salesperson access can be viewed and edited by opening the relevant [Staff Maintenance](https://help.megabus.com.au/gtx/docs/staff-1) file in **Edit** mode.

- **Newer versions:** Main > Staff > Manage Staff
- **Older versions:** System > System Files > People > Salespeople

**To set portal access for a salesperson:**

- Click on the **Salesperson Details Tab** at the top
- Use the **Portal Access Level** drop-down to set appropriate access
- Enter a **Portal Password** for them to log in with

Note

In older systems, these fields are in the general **Details** tab.
