# Supplier Discounts

****Marlin GTX**** enables you to create and apply supplier discount levels so that purchases automatically reflect agreed discounts off the Supplier List price.

## Create Supplier Discounts

Before applying supplier discounts to products, you will need to create the supplier discount levels that you receive.

From the Marlin GTX menu select System Files > Suppliers > Supplier Discounts.

Click on the Add icon to add a new supplier discount level.

Enter a short Code and descriptive Name to the Discount.

Select whether the discount is a Percentage or a Dollar Amount off the Supplier List price.

Select the desired Rounding method.

Click on the Save button.

Repeat the process to add any other discount levels you receive from your suppliers.

## Apply The Discount To Products

From the Marlin GTX menu, select Main > Products > Manage Products.

Open the relevant Product.

On the Details tab, ensure that the Supplier List price is entered.

On the Options tab, select the appropriate Supplier Discount from the drop down list.

Click on the Save button.

## Purchases

When the product is now selected on a Purchase, the displayed Cost will automatically apply the selected discount to the Supplier List price (i.e. $105 - 20% :** $84).

After the purchase, the discounted price will be reflected as the Last Cost on that product.
