# MHS Security Warnings

You may have noticed a **new security warning** when you connect to your hosted system using Remote Desktop.

Do not worry, your Megabus Hosted System **remains secure**.

The warning is the result of a **Windows security update** released on 15 April 2026.

We are currently working on a **permanent solution** that will remove the pop up entirely and will notify you once it has been implemented.

## What You Need to Do

If you **use local printers or USB devices**:

- Make sure the **relevant options are ticked:**
  - **Ports:** If you use any USB devices or serial devices with your hosted system
  - **Printers:** If you need to print from your hosted system to your local printer
  - **Clipboard:** If you copy and past VIN numbers or other data into your MHS system

Once you have **checked the relevant boxes:**

- Click **Connect** to continue as normal

Note

**If you don't use local printers or USB devices:** You can click Connect straight away without ticking anything.
