# Megalink

****Marlin GTX****'s Megalink integration enables seamless electronic communication with customers, suppliers, branches and head offices.

Megalink is a fully integrated data communications system that enables **electronic communications** to be sent and received between other Megalink users.

**Using Megalink:**

- **Suppliers** can send invoices and other transactions directly to GTX
- **Documents** and other communications can be sent by email
- **Customers** can be contacted instantly via SMS

Megalink email functionality will usually be configured by Megabus, using your **provided email details**, when GTX is first set up.

To update any details affecting the Megalink integration partner, please [contact the Megabus Support Team](https://www.megabus.com.au/support).

## Megalink Functionality

### Supplier Transactions

Megalink enables [purchase orders](/gtx/docs/purchase-orders), [supplier credits](/gtx/docs/supplier-credits), [delivery dockets](/gtx/docs/delivery-dockets) and other transactions to be sent from and received directly into GTX, when ordering from one of Megabus's many supplier partners including:

- **Burson**
- **Repco**
- **Bridgestone**
- **Continental**
- **Michelin**, **Pirelli**
- **Yokahama** and more

Note

Both [Burson EzyParts](/gtx/docs/repco-navigator-pro) and [Repco NavigatorPro](/gtx/docs/burson-ezyparts) can be fully integrated with GTX so that they can be accessed from and return order details to the **Work Orders** module.

### Email

Megalink enables documents to be delivered directly to customers via email, when finalising **work orders**, **invoices** and **other transactions**.

Note

GTX email services can also be set up using the [Hosted Email](/gtx/docs/hosted-email) integration, which sends messages on your behalf through Megabus-managed servers, **removing the need for you to maintain or configure your own email relay server** while ensuring **reliable delivery** and **flexible branding** across all branches.

### SMS Messaging

Megalink enables direct and instantaneous [Two-Way SMS Messaging](/gtx/docs/two-way-sms) between users and customers.

### Multi-Branch communications

Megalink also enables communications between branches in multi-branch systems, such as **inventory updates**, **transaction records** and **customer details**.

## Megalink Control Panel

The status of communications can be check and basic troubleshooting can be performed using the **Megalink Control Panel**.

The control panel can be opened by double clicking on the **Megalink** status tab at the bottom of the GTX application window (or using the desktop icon, if present).

If the Megalink tab is **red** then there is an error that can be checked by double clicking on it.

### Communications Status

The Megalink Control Panel will open on the **Transport** tab.

If the **Logged In** or **Active** icons at the top-right are red, please [contact the Megabus Support Team](https://www.megabus.com.au/support).

Click on the **My Incoming** or **My Outgoing** toggles at the top-left to show your incoming and outgoing communications:

- Check the **Status** column for errors
- It is normal to have **numbers in brackets** beside each of these toggles
- If these numbers are **increasing**, please [contact the Megabus Support Team](https://www.megabus.com.au/support).

### Email Status

The status of email communications can also be checked by clicking on the **Email** tab at the top of the control panel.

Click on the **Outbox**, **Sent**, **Cancelled** and **Failed** tabs at the top to check the status of different communications.

### Email Configuration

Uses with the required technical knowledge can also use the Megalink control panel to **configure their email communications**:

- Select **File > Configure**
- Enter information in **Megalink Configuration** pop-up

Note

The Megalink Control Panel can also be used to set up [Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for Microsoft Outlook](https://help.megabus.com.au/gtx/docs/outlook-email-errors), if required.

You also need to update the email in **Options Maintenance** as well:

- Select **System > Options** from the menu bar

Options
- Update **Email** field at the bottom-left of the System Details tab

Warning

The email addresses entered in the Megalink Configuration and Options Maintenance **must match**, or you won't be able to send emails properly.
