If you are using a GTX system on a hosted server, it is important that you **log out of the server using the desktop icon after every session**. ![image.png](https://cdn.document360.io/d7282b31-60c4-41e6-bf87-3f684d4da049/Images/Documentation/image-3U4G354A.png) Logging off ensures that: * The **End of Day** and **End of Month** processes can be run, * Necessary **software updates** can be installed, * Your **unsaved work** is not lost, * All **files and programs are closed**, rather than being left open, * Your session is r**efreshed and ready **for the next day of trading. Simply clicking on **the X button** at the top of a remote server window disconnects from the server but **does not log out of the current session**.
