# Logging In BT

****Marlin GTX**** can be launched as a desktop application on any licensed workstation.

**Marlin GTX** can be opened using one of the following methods:

- Double-click the **desktop icon**
- Select the **taskbar icon**
- Select **Start > All Programs > Megabus > Marlin GTX**

## About Marlin GTX

The **Marlin GTX Login** window will open when the program starts.

The login window displays **key information** about your system

This information helps confirm **licensing**, **version details** and **system status**.

Note

The same information can be viewed after login by selecting **Help > About Marlin GTX**.

Warning

If the system is operating in **Read-Only** mode, please [contact the Megabus Support Team](https://www.megabus.com.au/support) to resolve licence or access issues.

## Logging In

Available modules and permissions are determined by the **[password group](/gtx/docs/logging-in-ob#password-groups)** assigned to the user.

**To log in:**

- Enter a valid **password**
- Click **Login**

### Password Groups

Users log in using **shared passwords** that control access to different modules and functions.

Password groups can be managed by selecting **System > Passwords > Password Groups** from the menu bar.

Passwords are created and changed within password groups and access levels are controlled using the **Permissions** list.
