# Cancelling Work Orders

**Marlin GTX** contains flexible options for cancelling work orders.

Work orders can be cancelled from the [Business Planner](/gtx/docs/cancelling-work-orders#business-planner), [Work Orders](/gtx/docs/cancelling-work-orders#work-orders-module) or [Work Order Enquiry](/gtx/docs/cancelling-work-orders#work-order-enquiry) modules.

## Business Planner

Work orders can be cancelled and removed from Business Planner bookings by right-clicking on them in the Task List or Resource Planner and selecting **Cancel Work Order**.

The **Cancel Work Order** pop-up window will open.

Use the toggles at the top to select whether to retain the booking and/or quote details, or whether to cancel the booking entirely.

In the **Cancel Reason** textbox, enter a reason for the cancellation.

To cancel the Work Order and return to the Task list or Resource Planner, click on the **Proceed** button at the bottom-right.

## Work Orders Module

Work orders can be cancelled by clicking on the **Void** button at the top of the Enter Work Order window or pop ups.

## Work Order Enquiry

Work orders can be cancelled from the Work Order Enquiry module by selecting them in the list and clicking on the **Cancel** button at the top of the module window.

In the **Cancel Work Order** pop-up that opens:

- Select the **cancel option**
- Enter a **Cancel reason**
- Click **Proceed**

### Re-Opening Work Orders

Cancelled work orders can be viewed and re-opened from the Work Order Enquiry module by clicking on the **Filter** icon at the top of the module window (or pressing F6 on the keyboard).

In the **Filter** pop-up that opens:

- Set the **Order Status** drop-down to **Cancelled Orders**
- Click **Ok**

**To re-open a cancelled order:**

- **Select** it in the enquiry list
- Click on the **Re-Open** button at the top of the module window
- Confirm the pop-up that opens
