# Attendance Adjustment Requests

{{variable.GTX Bold}} enables staff to request adjustment to fix mistakes from within the Time and Attendance module.

These requests **notify a manager** to review and adjust the entry if necessary.

## Requesting Adjustments
#### Main > Staff > Attendance Entry

**To submit a Adjustment Request:**
* Click the **Request Adjustment** button above the Clock On/Clock Off buttons

**A pop-up window will open:**
* Enter a **Reason** for the request  
  (e.g. "Forgot to clock on at 8am. Please update.")
* Click **OK**

The adjustment request is now linked to your **attendance record** for managerial review.

The Request Adjustment button will change to **Update Request**, allowing you to update the request if necessary.

Adjustment Requests are only visible to **authorised users** in the Attendance Maintenance module and will appear with a red border for easy identification.

## Actioning Adjustment Requests

Adjustment Requests are reviewed in the **Attendance Maintenance** module.

To locate and action a request:
* Open **Attendance Maintenance** 
(Main > Staff > Manage Attendance)
* Select the relevant **staff member**
* Locate the **red-bordered** attendance event
    * Pending **Adjustment Requests** are shown in a list at the bottom
    * **Click on a request** to select the relevant employee

**Hover the mouse** over flagged attendance event cell to show the adjustment request in a pop-up.

**To resolve a adjustment request request:**
* **Double-click** the red-bordered event to open the editor  
* **Adjust** the time or details, as required  
* Tick the **Clear the Adjustment Requested flag** checkbox  
* Click **OK** to finalise the changes

:::(Info) (Tip)
Only events with **unresolved** adjustment requests will show a red border. Once cleared and saved, refresh the module and you will see that the event has returned to its normal display and is no longer in the Adjustment requests list.
