# Mobile App Overview

**Marlin Tyre and Mechanical Workshop Software** is supported by the Marlin mobile app, enabling seamless communication between workshop technicians, as well as customers and other staff.

Once [set up](/workshop/docs/workshop-connect-set-up), the Marlin mobile app enables technicians to [receive and update job information](/workshop/docs/workshop-connect-tasks) from their workshop tablets, smartphones or other devices, and keep staff notified of their progress by [adding comments](/workshop/docs/workshop-connect-comments) and [updating job statuses](/workshop/docs/workshop-connect-tasks).

Photos and videos can also be taken using the device camera and [saved as attachments](/workshop/docs/workshop-connect-attachments) for your records or sent to customers in real time using Marlin's online [Customer Portal](/workshop/docs/customer-portal).
