# Contact Titles

**Marlin Tyre and Mechanical Workshop Software** enables various titles to be added and associated with contacts.

To view and edit contact titles, select **System > Contacts > Titles** from the menu bar.

The Titles module will open on the **Search** window, showing a list of active contact titles.

## Adding Contact Titles

#### System > Contacts > Titles

To add a new contact title, click on the **Add** action button to the top right of the Titles Search list.

The Title window will open on the **Details** tab, containing a form for adding a new title.

In the **Title** textbox, enter the new title as it will appear within the Marlin system.

A gender can be assosciated with the title using the **Gender** drop-down menu, if desired, but it is not necessary.

Leave the **Active** checkbox ticked to enable the new title within the Marlin system.

To save the new title and return to the Search list, click on the **Save** action button to the top right of the module window.
