# Addresses

**Marlin Tyre and Mechanical Workshop Software** addresses are based on pre-set country and postal address format information.

If the **Google Location Services** integration partner is enabled, addresses can be added where necessary using an **Address Lookup** search.

Otherwise, address information can be added manually and will be presented based on the postal address formats.

Country and postal address formats can only be added and edited by the Megabus Support Team.

Their details can still be viewed, however, and different countries can be activated and deactivated as needed.

## Countries

To view and edit countries, select **System > Company > Countries** from the menu bar.

The countries module will open on the **Search** window, showing a lit of active countries.

Countries can only be added and country details can only be edited by the Megabus Support Team.

Countries can however still be activated and deactivated and have states added to them by Marlin users with the appropriate permissions enabled.

### Activating Countries

#### System > Company > Countries

To show inactive countries, set the Countries Search list to **All**.

Open the country to activate in **Edit** mode.

The Country window will open on the **Details** tab, showing the countries details and a list of states.

To activate a country within the Marlin system, tick the **Active** checkbox at the bottom of the details section.

Conversely, active countries can be deactivated by opening them in edit mode and unticking the **Active** checkbox.

To save the country as active and return to the countries Search list,click on the **Save** action button at the top right of the module window.

### Adding states to Countries

#### System > Company > Countries > [Country] > Details

The **States** list at the bottom of a country's details tab, shows a list of associated states.

To add states to a country, open it in edit mode and click on the Add action button to the top right of the States list, or click in the next empty **State** cell.

In the **State** textbox that appears, enter the name of the state.

States can be activated and deactivated by either ticking or unticking the associated **Active** checkbox.

To save the new states and return to the Countries Search list,click on the **Save** action button at the top right of the module window.

## Postal Address Formats

Postal address formats can only be added and edited by the **Megabus Support Team**.

Their details can be viewed by selecting **System > Company > Postal Address Formats** from the menu bar.

The Postal Address Formats module will open on the **Search** list, showing a list of postal address formats that have been added to the Marlin system.

The details of different postal address formats can be viewed by opening them from the Search list.
